My Naked Bones

The naked bones of my body
Lie stripped and broken waiting
For you to mend them with
The flesh of your arms, your hands.

The naked bones of my body
Lie exposed on the bed.
Open nerves tingle at your need,
Begging your instinctive pursuit.

The naked bones of my body
Cry out from their inner sanctuary
Of desire, sequestered
Six feet under my skin.

The naked bones of my body
Find you, yielding inside me,
Pulse on pulse, breath on breath,
Adorning me in flesh.
